Located in Seaport Village in the heart of downtown San Diego, Marion's THE Fish & Chips place since 1999, offers an exquisite dining experience, made for seafood lovers. Like the restaurant, the new rebrand strategy encapsulates the flavor in its dishes.
The new identity celebrates the bold, no-frills joy of seaside comfort food. Everything — from the pin designs to the neon sign — is anchored in fun, flavor, and familiarity. It’s a wink to the past, designed for today’s energy.
We refined Marion’s logotype and built a bold system around it — including a wave-inspired graphic pattern and a tagline that doubles as a brand promise: For shore, unforgettable fish & chips. Custom enamel pins and t-shirts extend the brand beyond the plate, while playful colors and typography mirror the crunch, tang, and color of the food itself.
The brand system lives across menu boards, exterior signage, branded coasters, to-go packaging, and a full merch line. It’s designed to be approachable, memorable, and unmistakably Marion’s.
Our studio partnered with Marion’s to reimagine their identity from the ground up: from logo refinement and packaging to brand voice, signage, merchandise, and playful pin characters. The result is a brand that feels both nostalgic and fresh — honoring 25 years of flavor, while turning every order into a moment worth remembering.
